Privacy Policy for Snake Sand

  1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Snake Sand ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile game. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

  1. Information We Collect

2.1 Gameplay Data

  • High scores and game progress (stored locally on your device)
  • Template completion status and star ratings (stored locally on your device)
  • Player name for leaderboard submissions (optional, only if you choose to submit)

2.2 Online Leaderboard

  • If you choose to submit your score to the online leaderboard, we collect your chosen display name, score, difficulty level, and submission date. This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore.

2.3 Advertising

  • We use Google AdMob to display rewarded ads. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

2.4 Push Notifications

  • We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send optional push notifications such as game updates and announcements. FCM may collect a device token to deliver notifications. No personal data is linked to this token.
  • We also use local notifications to remind you to play if you have been inactive for a period of time. These are scheduled entirely on your device and do not send any data externally.
  • You can disable notifications at any time through your device's system settings.

2.5 Analytics

  • We use Google Firebase services which may collect anonymous usage statistics, crash reports, and device information to help us improve the app.
  1. Information We Do NOT Collect
  • We do not collect personal information such as your real name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
  • We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location.
  • We do not track your activity outside of the app.
  1. How We Use Information
  • To save your game progress and preferences locally on your device.
  • To display your scores on the online leaderboard (only if you opt in).
  • To show rewarded video ads that you choose to watch for in-game benefits.
  • To send push notifications about game updates and announcements (optional, can be disabled).
  • To send local reminders to encourage you to play (optional, can be disabled).
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs.
  1. Data Storage and Security
  • Local game data (settings, scores, progress) is stored only on your device using standard Android preferences.
  • Online leaderboard data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore.
  • We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to third parties beyond the services described above.

This app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  1. Children's Privacy

Snake Sand does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require any personal information to play. The optional leaderboard name entry does not require a real name.

  1. Data Deletion
  • You can clear all local game data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app from your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
